We arrived around 12:30PM so the place was understandably a bit packed. We were immediately ushered to our seats by one of their staff members. The waiter warmly greeted us, apologized to us in advance and informed us that they were just on their soft opening. But judging how our lunch went well despite the large number of diners, I have to say that Burst Grill House is on the right track!
Nothing beats being served with warm and moist complimentary bread. It’s also an added bonus that the pesto served with it was soooooo good! It was perfectly seasoned. It was a bit subtle compared to other pesto which has the tendency to become overpowering, but it went really well with the bread!

We came from an overnight staycation to celebrate Papa’s birthday, and we just spontaneously decided to go to Circuit Makati because I needed to have my long overdue leg waxing and eyebrow threading at Lay Bare. Hihi. We were still a bit full from the hotel’s buffet breakfast so we didn’t really have the chance to try a lot from their menu. We were just all glad that we made the right choices.
I had been craving for paella for the longest time, but I never really dared to try cooking it. Even my mom, who happens to be really good in the kitchen, thinks that it’s beyond her culinary abilities. Haha! That is why we unanimously agreed to try out their Paella Valenciana when we saw it from their menu.

I know that my photo may not give justice to what I’m about to say, but I love that simply looking at the paella already feels like a treat. The vibrant colors immediately teased our eyes, and the aroma just made us even more excited to dig in.
The chicken, different kinds of seafood and vegetables were all cooked to perfection. Ang daming sahog! My palates felt like there was a continuous explosion of varying textures and flavors at every bite. My mother, who is very hard to please when it comes to food, gave her seal of approval! There were some burnt rice at the bottom of the pan, but nothing went to waste! It actually added a little crunch to the paella. Hihi. Infer, simot na simot namin!

The paella was already a complete meal by itself, but we still opted to try out their grilled ribs following the recommendation of our server. It may not look appetizing at all, but this fall-off-the-bone dish was a great partner to the paella. The meat was already good on its own, but the sauce on the side gave the ribs extra punch!

Just like what I said, we were all full from the hotel’s buffet breakfast that’s why we were so surprised that we wiped out everything from our table! I was with Mama, Papa, Boyet and Zayne, but we got to finish the paella that’s good for 5-6 people! It was THAT good! I guess we’ll be coming back for more! :)

Uy! Gusto ko ng paella!
ReplyDeleteNaka-try kami sa Charaptor before at sulit yung eat-all-you-can ihaw-ihaw nila for the price. Amoy usok after pero keri lang. Talaga bang closed na yung sa Makati? Nagdagdag pa naman sila ng parking nung huling napadaan kami. Alam ko meron din sila branch sa MOA. Hehe. :)
