Product Review: Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie

Published on December 22, 2013

Countless of bloggers are raving about Happy Skin which made me extremely curious about it. In order to know what the buzz is all about, I went to Beauty Bar to check it out. I only started wearing makeup a couple of years ago. I am really a late bloomer when it comes to makeup that’s why I still consider myself a newbie at age 29. Because of my very limited knowledge, I spent almost an hour inside Beauty Bar. I used to just ask the saleslady for a recommendation, I’d give it a try then pay for it if I’m convinced. But since there was no one manning the Happy Skin section of Beauty Bar when I arrived (she came a few minutes after), I took this as my chance to choose by myself. When the saleslady saw me holding the Shut Up & Kiss Me lippie, she told me that it suits my complexion. I am so proud of myself! Hihi! *clap clap clap*

The packaging is cute. I also love that it comes in a form of a crayon making it easier for me to apply along the border of my lips even if I am in a moving vehicle. My husband loves pulling pranks on me when I am putting on makeup inside our car. So with this lippie, belat sa kanya! :p It’s also longer that the usual lipstick so it’s really good for clumsy girls like me. I can’t remember how many times I ruined a lipstick because I keep on losing my grip.

Reading the label on the box, I found out that it has Shea Butter and Collagen which both help the lips stay hydrated. My lips have the tendency to get dry and chapped that’s why I apply a lip balm prior to putting my lipstick on. But since this product is claiming to be a moisturizing lippie, I tried putting it on without the lip balm as base. The result? No more dry and chapped lips for me! It also gives a subtle shine to the lips. So for only PHP499, you get all the powers of a lip balm, a lipstick and a lip gloss. Super sulit!

Even my husband can’t stop complimenting how the lippie looks good on me. Sulit daw ang paghihintay niya ng 1 hour sa’kin. :p

For the record, this by far is my favorite brand of lipstick. Happy Skin gave me happy lips. Hihi! =)
