So for those who are already enjoying the holidays and those like me who still can’t get out of the corporate stress, here’s a Kolokoy Household post for you. =)
SMEG
While we were in Serendra, we noticed a group of people who were obviously staff members of a certain establishment. They were all wearing a blue apron which bears the name of the business.
Me: Saan kaya sila?
Boyet: Imposible namang Powerbooks.
Me: May nakasulat sa apron nila o.
Boyet: Hindi ko mabasa e.
Me: Ahhh. SMEG daw e.
Boyet: Alam mo anong tinda ng SMEG?
Me: Hindi. Ano ba?
Boyet: Beer. SMEG-el Beer!
Me: Ewan ko sa’yo!!!
As soon as Boyet said his punch line, I remembered that SMEG is the store in Serendra which sells these cute and colorful refrigerators. At wala silang tindang beer!!!

If you do not know how bad the traffic is in Metro Manila, it’s either you’re bedridden or you’re living in a cave. A lot of things come with the horrible traffic – motor riders na siksik ng siksik, a$$hole drivers na ayaw gumamit ng signal lights at mga drivers na galit na galit sa busina!
One night while we were on our way home…
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!
Me: Ang ingay naman ng mga lintek na ‘to. Busina ng busina. Bumili kayo ng helicopter!!!
Boyet: Oo nga e ang ingay! Teka!
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!
Me: O nakisali ka pa sa ingay!
Boyet: E ang yayabang ng mga ‘to e. Baka akala nila sila lang may busina e. Meron din tayo!
KAZTIN
I have an 11-month old niece named Kaztin. Boyet saw her a few times before. While we were shopping for Christmas gift for her…
Me: Saan tayo?
Boyet: Ayun! Dun tayo tumingin.
Me: Kid Jordan?! E puro panlalaki kaya dun.
Boyet: Bakit? Babae ba si Kaztin?!
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oo, matagal na!
Terible! Mag-iisang taon na ‘yung bata. Kinarga niya pa ng ilang beses! =))
KAZTIN PART 2
My cousin went to our house yesterday to run some errands.
Me: Kuya, ‘yung KAZTIN ba may E sa dulo o wala?
Kuya: Wala. K-A-Z-T-I-N.
Me: Ah, ayun tama nga naisip ko. Kasi QUINTIN ang tawag natin kay Kuya Tatit e.
Papa: Ah tapos KAREN ‘yung KA?
Me: Oo.
Papa: E saan galing ‘yung Z?
Me: Ewan ko sa kanila. Ampanget nga naman kasi kung KATIN. Para namang laging nangangati ‘yung bata.
Papa: E bakit hindi KARTIN????
Maipilit lang e! @_@
SIMBANG GABI
Boyet and I decided to go to Simbang Gabi yesterday for the first time this year. He set the alarm at 4:15AM knowing that the mass starts at 4:30AM. The chapel is just a one-minute walk away from our house. But since we were having a hard time waking up, we got out of the bed a few minutes later.
Me: Bihis ka na agad?
Boyet: Oo. Ang lapit lapit lang ng simbahan. (He then went to the CR to get the mouthwash.)
Me: Hindi ka na mag toothbrush?
Boyet: Hindi na! Hindi naman tayo makikipag-usap dun. Saka sigurado ka bang nag toothbrush si Father?!
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
