Kolokoy Household: Episode 23

Mr. Kolokoy is not yet done with his part for our next Ask the Kolokoys post so let’s have Kolokoy Household again this Monday. I think he will finish it after our 100^th episode! Geeeeez! :p

ALABANG

We were supposed to go to Korea, but one of our travel buddies had conflict with our original flight schedule. Fortunately, Cebu Pacific rescheduled our flights so we were eligible for a refund or free rebooking. We opted to refund our tickets since all of us are paying for a house/condo unit. But since we wanted to go somewhere this October, we decided to simply have a staycation.

Me: May bagyo kasi e, so mukhang malabo na ang Subic. Sa Tagaytay naman, halos napuntahan na natin lahat ng ok na hotels dun. So ang naisip namin ni Joie sa Alabang na lang ulit tayo.
Boyet: Ahh. Dati may Big Bang dun ‘no?
Me: Huhhhh????
Boyet: Big Bang. Hindi mo alam?
Me: Ano ‘yun?
Boyet: Dati kasi Big Bang ‘yun tapos naging Small Bang, hanggang naubos kaya naging ALAbang.
Me: Anak ng!!!

RETIREMENT

Both my parents are self-employed. One night, Mama was complaining that she hasn’t made a single deposit on her bank account for more than a year.

Mama: Hay naku grabe. Isang taon na akong walang nahuhulog sa savings ko.
Me: O sakto, hindi ka nag-iisa. Pareho tayo. Napupunta lahat ng pera namin sa bahay e.
Mama: Puro withdrawal ako, walang deposit.
Me: Pasalamat ka nga may na-wi-withdraw ka. ‘Yung ibang tao nga walang ma-withdraw, umuutang pa sa iba.
Mama: Alam ko naman ‘yun. Pero siyempre gusto ko pag-ipunan ang SEPARATION PAY namin ng Papa mo.
Boyet: Bakit, Ma??? Maghihiwalay na kayo ni Papa?

E kasi naman RETIREMENT PAY ‘yun! =))

HOTDOGS

While having our afternoon snacks, I noticed that the hotdogs Mama prepared were bigger than the usual.

Me: Mama, ang laki ng hotdogs ha!
Mama: Ay oo, special ‘yan e.
Me: Anong tatak?
Mama: Mekeni yata ‘yan e.
Me: Hindi naman ganyan kalaki ang Mekeni dati ha.
Mama: May nakasulat sa label e. MOSSIMO yata.
Me: MOSSIMO?! Ano ‘to bra?!
Mama: Hindi!
Me: E ano? Panty?! Sabi mo MOSSIMO e.
Mama: Ah ewan ko. Basta may MO.

GREMLINS

Boyet and I are so hooked to Got To Believe. Corny na kung corny pero wapakels, walang basagan ng trip! Nyaha! Anyway, for those who were able to catch last week’s episodes, there was a scene were Joaquin told Chichay, “Buti na lang hindi ako gremlin ‘no? Kung hindi, dumami na siguro ako.” During the commercial gap, alam ba ninyo ang ginawa ng asawa ko?!
