Grabe! Na-realize ko na March pa pala ang last Kolokoy Household post ko! I really wanted to blog and vlog more often because both have been helping me manage my anxiety, but I really have a ton on my plate! I think I’m making a little progress, though, because I blogged twice in July, and this is my second blog for August! Woooohooo! Our YouTube channel also now has 100K subscribers!!!

BIG GIRL
Zayne is currently at a stage where she insists that she’s already a big girl. Siyempre kami, lagi naming siyang nilulusutan.
Zayne: Tatay, hindi na ako bata!
Tatay: Ah talaga ba? Ok sige. Itatapon ko na lahat ng toys mo kasi pambata lang ang toys.
Zayne: E bakit ikaw, madami kang Lego?
Me: …
Tatay: …
Tatay’s Lego Collection: …
BABY BROTHER
Our little family has been praying for another baby. Zayne specifically wanted for a baby brother. If you’ve been following this blog long enough, then you probably know that my husband and I had a hard time conceiving a child. Zayne has been growing a bit impatient so we try to engage her in conversations to remind her that it’s okay to wait. One time, I asked her what we should name her baby brother.
Me: What should we name your baby brother?
Zayne: Twilight Sparkle!
Me: Nope! Your brother is not a pony! (Twilight Sparkle is from My Little Pony.)
Zayne: Elsa? Anna?
Me: No! Think of a boy’s name!
Zayne: Hmmmmm?! I don’t know! Let’s just name him POOPOO! Or UTOT?
Me: No! What would you feel if we named you UTOT?
Zayne: I’m just kidding, Nanay!
Me: And besides, you need think of a name that starts with the letter Z – like Zayne.
Zayne: Okay. ZEBRA then!
Malamang kaya hindi kami magkaaanak uli e! =))
ALMOND MILK
Zayne experienced episodes of constipation despite constantly eating fruits and vegetables. Ang lakas din naman niyang uminom ng tubig. We were isolating the root cause so we first tried to switch from fresh milk to almond milk. Kaso, hindi pala siya masarap!
Zayne: Nanay, I don’t want my new milk.
Me: Try lang natin ‘to. Masarap ‘to.
Zayne: Hindi po siya masarap, Nanay!
Me: E anong gagawin natin?
Zayne: Haluan mo po kaya ng ulam? Barbecue pwede?!
Hahahahaha!!!
FYI, prune juice solved our problem! :)
CS
We’re all amazed how sharp Zayne’s memory is. We were surprised when she recognized the shirt that Nanay Inday was wearing when we went to Baguio last year.
“Nanay Inday, ayan po ang suot mo sa Baguio ha!”
Shookt ako kasi ako nga hindi ko matandaan. Haha! I was also shocked when she remembered the story of how I gave birth to her. I told her once when she saw the scar on my tummy. Months later, she heard Mama and I talking about another mom who went through CS operation.
Me: Masakit talaga ‘yun. Biruin mo hihiwain ka, hahalukayin laman-loob mo tapos ilalabas ‘yung bata.
Mama: CS ka rin ba?
Zayne: CS ‘yan si Nanay! Hiniwa ‘yan sa tummy. Ang laki ng ouchy nya, nakita ko!
Mama: Ay, CS ka ba?
Me: Nanay ba talaga kita?!
Mama: Kailan ka na-CS?
Zayne: E ‘di BEBEMBER 8!
Me: Hahahahaha! Ewan ko sa’yo, Mama! Hindi ka na nahiya sa apo mo! Malamang, na-CS ako sa birthday ni Zayne!
E bilang ayaw patalo at Reyna ng Palusot ang nanay ko...
Mama: Aba, e malay ko kung hindi ka November 8 na-CS.
Me: So bale, November 5 talaga ako hiniwa tapos pinaghintay ko muna sila ng 8 bago ilabas si Zayne para swerte sa Feng Shui!
Sakit sa bangs! Wahahahaha!!!
GREAT GRANDPARENTS
Zayne suddenly became curious about her great grandparents so she asked Mama about them.
Zayne: Mama, sino po ang Nanay at Tatay mo?
Mama: Si Lola Nanay nakilala mo pa kaso baby ka pa e. ‘Yung Tatay ko, hindi mo na nakilala. Nasa heaven na sila pareho.
Zayne: Ay talaga? Patay na sila? Bakit po?
Mama: May sakit sila e.
Zayne: Ayyyyy!!! ‘Di ba may sakit ka rin?!!!
Wahahahaha! Mga three hours na tawa pa rin kami nang tawa!
TOOTHACHE
Tatay had a surgery to remove his impacted tooth a couple of months ago. One night during dinner, Zayne was being extra chatty. Boyet, on the other hand, kept on complaining about his teeth.
Tatay: Ang sakit ng ngipin ko.
Me: Matagal kasi talaga ‘yan kasi tinahi e.
Zayne: Blah blah blah blah…
Tatay: Kaya sumasakit ngipin ko kasi daldal ka nang daldal e. Kumain ka na nga.
Zayne: Tatay, kaya ‘yan sumasakit kasi hindi ka nag-to-toothbrush! O ‘di ba, Nanay?!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
