Kolokoy Household: Episode 19

Hello! How are you, guys? I hope you’re all well this Monday morning. Me? I’m sick. Again! =( I started having dry and itchy throat last Saturday. A couple of weeks ago, I was feeling the same. And then I was able to recover. Ngayon, eto uli. I slept at 9PM on Saturday night, woke up at 9AM on Sunday, and slept almost the entire afternoon. Ganito ako usually kapag BER months dahil sa init-lamig-araw-ulan type of weather.

Ok, tama na ang bad news. Kolokoy Household is supposed to make you smile on a Monday morning. But before I go on with my usual stories, allow me to share with you a milestone of my parents. Teehee!

My parents know nothing about computers. They are not conscious about gadgets. As a matter of fact, they still use those old-fashioned Nokia phones. Last Christmas, I asked my parents if they want to have a tablet. Para naman may libangan sila aside sa asarin ang isa’t isa. Mama immediately said no. Papa said it’s ok.

Papa celebrated his birthday last Friday. Boyet and I gave him a tablet as a birthday present. Ang gara lang kasi kami nga ni Boyet walang tablets!

Mama: Bakit ako walang tablet?
Papa: Tama lang 'yan. Pang-CAPSULE ka lang e.
Me: Tinanong kita dati ayaw mo e.
Mama: Joke lang naman.
Papa: Hindi. Maarte ka lang talaga. Huwag kang gagamit neto ha.

Now, the next challenge is teaching them how to use it. We started with the simple ON and OFF. Papa now knows how to use the Internet. Yes, makaka-Google na siya ng herbal medicines sa rayuma!!!

Boyet downloaded some games. We had Solitaire installed since Mama used to play it on our desktop computer. Si Mama, biglang nagtanong! Tanong na hindi kinaya ng powers ko!!!

PAANO MAG CANDY CRUSH?!


Now, she knows how to play Candy Crush. I didn’t connect it to Facebook because she has no plans of creating an account. Plus, baka tawagan ako sa office para humingi ng humingi ng LIFE!!!

After a few minutes, she went to our room to tell us, “Level 8 na ako!” Anak ng tokwa. Ayaw daw niya magkaroon ng tablet! =))


PICKUP LINE

Boyet would always come up with pickup lines. There are times when I am caught off guard. But there are also times when I would not let him succeed with his plans.

Boyet: Baby, ang swerte swerte mo talaga sa’kin.
Me: … … …

After 5 seconds…

Boyet: Nakakainis! Walang reaksyon? Barado na naman ako?!
Me: HAHAHAHA!!!


BREAKING NEWS

Me: Baby, nabasa ko sa Twitter kanina na muntik na daw magkaputukan sa NAIA Terminal 3.
Boyet: Ah talaga? Bakit daw?
Me: Parang attempted kidnap for ransom nga yata.
Boyet: Sino ‘yung balak kidnap-in? Nahuli ba ‘yung mga suspects?
Me: Hindi ko alam ‘yung buong details. Kasi nakita ko lang sa Twitter na BREAKING NEWS e.
Boyet: Ah kaya pala hindi kumpleto ‘yung balita. Kasi BREAKING NEWS.
Me: Bwisit!!!


FMG

While watching THE VOICE, the camera flashed FMG (the male judge in Pilipinas Got Talent) who was watching it live.

Me: Uy! Si FMG ‘yun ha!
Boyet: Siya ‘yung kasama nina Kris at Ai-ai ‘di ba?
Me: Oo, sa Pilipinas Got Talent. Pero sino kaya ‘yung katabi niya?
Boyet: Hindi mo ‘yun kilala?
Me: Hindi e.
Boyet: Si FMH!


DJOKOVIC

While we were watching the Djokovic-Wawrinska US Open match yesterday…

Me: Ang pogi ni Djokovic! Kapag malayo kamukha niya si Adam Levine!
Boyet: Kamukha ko rin si Djokovic sa malayo e!
Me: Oo naman! Mga mula dito sa bahay natin hanggang sa Ayala!
Boyet: Loko loko ka ha!!!
