Throwback Thursday: Graduation Photos

My blog’s traffic last Thursday was WILD! I think I need to post Boyet’s baby pictures more often! But please allow me to rest this week since my husband needs to pick up all the shattered pieces of his ego because of last week’s Throwback Thursday. Hahaha! :p

I know that the graduation season is over, but I only saw these old photos when I found my old drive. After 5 years in college, I didn’t have the slightest interest to have a graduation portrait. But my mother insisted that I need one.

The default package included a shot in toga and one in formal “dress”. Hair and makeup were also included. Some of my classmates opted to have the additional creative shots, but I didn’t avail of this. Kuripot ako, at hindi ako creative hahaha!

Presenting, ang gandang hindi mo inakala! =))

I am glad that I gave in to my mom’s plea to have my college graduation photos taken. Looking back, I am actually grateful of a lot of things.

1. I am just so glad that I came at the studio really early. I was the first person to use the foundation sponge. I think all the boys shared with one sponge. HAHAHAHA!!!

2. I am thankful that I have two decent photos while I was still wearing braces. Those six grueling years that I was in braces were the darkest days of my existence. Wala akong matinong picture.

3. I am glad that I looked like a woman even for a day. Aminado naman kasi ako, hindi ako kagandahan. Sapat lang. Pero matalino ako, kaya huwag kayong judgmental. =)) But seriously, I grew up thinking that beauty is not that important. I was raised to become smart and good-hearted. But being smart and good-hearted will not show in graduation photos. :p

4. I am proud of my color. Morena ako since birth! Hehe! Fortunately, the studio and the makeup artists knew that. I didn’t look pale, and the foundation used was so close to my skin tone. Nyahaha! =)) You’ll understand what I’m talking about when you see some of my classmates’ pictures, especially the boys’. I still can’t post it so give me a couple of weeks. Anyway, I have his graduation picture inside my wallet. =))

5. This is the most important. I am just so grateful that my college graduation photos were so much better than my old graduation pictures!!!

Happy Thursday! =)
