Kolokoy Household: Episode 8

Last Friday, I received two FB messages from my college batch mates telling me that they really enjoy reading my blog. One particularly singled out my Kolokoy Household posts. I am starting to feel that readers are already forgetting that this is a food/travel blog. Hahaha! But I actually don’t mind because little by little, I am starting to fulfill my dream of making this site a HAPPY PLACE! ^_^

Anyway, I initially thought of not posting a Kolokoy Household episode today. Middle of the week na kasi, hindi pa nagpapatawa si Boyet at si Mama! Nyahaha! I think that those very few “fans” of Kolokoy Household are praying for my family to go wild so I can post something on a Monday morning. Well, your prayers have been heard! :p


PAMASAHE

My mom and I usually go to the spa together. But after I got married, she has managed to have a massage alone when my schedule does not permit me to go with her. I told Boyet that I have been experiencing back pains lately so I asked him if we could go on a “spa date”.
Me: Baby…
Boyet: Yes?
Me: Pamasahe naman tayo.
Boyet: Ah sige ba. Pamasahe tayo. Libre kita.
Me: Wow! Sige! Kailan? *tuwang tuwa sa galak*
Boyet: Sa Thursday!
Me: Huh??? Coding kaya tayo sa Thursday!
Boyet: Kaya nga, sakto! Libre kitang PAMASAHE!

TOINKS!!!

I told Boyet that I read an article saying that Mister Donut will be making some modifications on their recipes to address their declining sales.

Me: Pero hindi ko alam na galing palang US ang Mister Donut. All this time akala ko Pinoy ang Mister Donut.
Boyet: Hindi mo alam ‘yun?
Me: Hindi. Ikaw alam mo?
Boyet: Oo naman, alam ko ‘yun! Hindi ka nag-iisip e. Kung Pinoy ‘yun, e di sana GINOONG DONAT ang name nila.
Me: Ewan ko sa’yo!!! *sabay walkout*


LUPANG HINIRANG

One time after dinner, my mom asked me if I have already seen ABS-CBN’s summer station ID while it was being shown right after TV Patrol.

Me: Hindi ko pa nakikita. Bakit?
Mama: Wala naman. Hindi maganda e.
Me: Bakit? Dahil sinira ni ____ (insert name of actress here)
Mama: Oo! Pero kahit wala siya dun, hindi pa rin maganda. Mas maganda pa nga ‘yung LUPANG HINIRANG ng GMA e!
Me: Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Mama: O bakit?

At nagtanong pa siya kung bakit?! =))


NEGRA

My mom is my number 1 critic. While most moms usually tell their daughters that they are pretty, my mom always does the opposite. Yurak na yurak ang self-confidence ko dahil sa kanya! Buti na lang dumating si Boyet, may bago siyang naaasar! Hahaha!

Mama: Je, hindi ka naman nag-swimming. E bakit ang negra negra mo?
Me: Wow! Salamat ha! Ang tawag diyan, BLACK BEAUTY!
Mama: Utot mo!
Me: Isipin mo na lang kung maputi ako, e di sumobra naman ganda ko. Ang perfect ko na ‘nun.
Mama: Kunsabagay, tama ka. Pag pumuti ka kasi, lalo kang hindi babagay kay Boyet e ‘no?
Boyet: Sabi ko na nga ba madadamay na naman ako e.

But seriously, I have long accepted (and loved) my color! ‘Yung mapuputi nga, gumagastos ma-achieve lang ang kulay ko. Sa’kin, effortless! Pero totoo, hindi nga ako nag-swimming!!! =))
