As Boyet wished, we started our meal with a bowl of hot soup. Cream of pumpkin was their Soup of the Day. This creamy soup is a mixture of different flavors. The pureed pumpkins brought some sweetness to our taste buds. I’ve tried cream of pumpkin soups which are either too thick or too watery. Chocolate Spoon’s version has just the right consistency.
I chose to have something light so I got their Mediterranean Salad. A plate with mixed greens became more interesting with the addition of grapes. Their menu says the salad comes with mangoes but mine had apples. The exciting texture is also interesting as the crunchy apples brought contrast to the soft feta cheese.

It would definitely be boring if both of us went for the healthy choice. So my not so health-conscious boyfriend got sizzling sisig which is served with rice and egg. I actually stayed away from it as much as I could. :)
Boyet knew that I wouldn’t be satisfied with just a plate of salad so he suggested we get their Buffalo wings. I hate to admit it but he was right. Six large pieces of crispy chicken wings coated in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce was served with a cup of blue cheese and potato chips on the side. Instead of being spicy as I was hoping it would be just like the usual Buffalo wings, Chocolate Spoon’s version is garlicky. I really felt that the blue cheese dip is unnecessary because the wings are just good enough without it.
