Ondoy!

Heavy rains woke me up at 5 in the morning today. I didn’t know at that time that there is a typhoon. I went back to sleep only to wake up at 11 in the morning, still raining. We were not worried at all because we NEVER experienced being flooded. But when I looked out of the window around 4 in the afternoon…


I’ve been living in the same house for 25 years but this is the first time that something like this happened. This was taken around 8 in the evening today.



Rain is starting to subside but the water level just doubled up. The “estero” which is a few steps away from our house, overflowed.




We were not prepared for it, probably the same for thousands of families who are going through worse than this. In the end, we can replace the furniture. The more important thing is we are safe. My brother is stranded with his classmates at PLM. I never thought I would be this worried of that monkey.

I am not sure what sight it will be when I wake up tomorrow. Anyway, I hope everybody is safe and sound. I think this is a wake-up call from Mother Nature. :(
