Joie and I decided last Thursday that we would take advantage of the first of the three-day sale at Robinson’s Place Ermita because she thinks that the best stocks are all out on the first day. We went to work earlier than usual on Friday, and even cut our lunch break so we could leave early. And then bam! An emergency meeting took all the precious shopping time we could have had. Because all our shopping desires were repressed, we decided to have an all-day mall-hopping the next day.
Jeff was so nice and offered to pick me up at the LRT Pedro Gil station so we could go to Trinoma together. We met at 10 a.m. though he was 20 minutes late. Haha! We took off the LRT Edsa station and traveled to North Edsa via MRT. We walked around the mall while waiting for Joie who was also late. Haha again! Just before lunch time, we headed to Five Cows restaurant (the only reason Joie invited me to Trinoma and my only reason for thrashing all the hassles of public transportation).
I love the pasta I ordered. I forgot the dish’s exact name but it’s penne pasta with different kinds of mushroom and beef strips. It’s so amazing that the sauce is so creamy and rich yet not overpowering all the other ingredients. I also have to say that the price is reasonable relative to the generous serving size. I hope the picture proves it all.
Jeff and Joie then treated me for dessert. I now think that it is a bribe for being late and all the hassles I had to go through just to get to Trinoma. Jeff got the Tiramisu. Layers of ice cream, cream cheese and God only knows what else is there! I enjoyed it because it’s free…
But the show-stopper was the Flaming Alaska from Joie. It’s a full-blast entertainment the moment they start putting it on fire!
Seeing it is like an indulgence...
And eating it is like journey...
I enjoyed my first time in Trinoma. Great food with good friends! After the gastronomic treats, we headed to Robinson’s Place Ermita for a shop-till-you-drop experience. You would not believe how my legs hurt when I woke up the next morning. Hehe!
