Edeng's Toy Store at Market! Market!

Every mother from Metro Manila who has planned for her child’s birthday party knows that Divisoria is the go-to place for all party needs. When we planned for Zayne’s first birthday party, we scouted the crowded malls in Divisoria before finally settling with Anding’s Toy Store where we got all of the toys for the loot bags and prizes we gave away. We were supposed to go back this year, but a lot of unfortunate things happened on the days leading to Zayne’s 2nd birthday party. My husband and I became extremely busy! I have to say that I was at the busiest point in my entire life until last week! Add the fact that a flu bug hit our family. Zayne got sick a couple of weeks before her birthday which prompted Boyet to actually contemplate on cancelling the party. By the time Zayne felt better, it was already the last week of October! We scheduled her birthday party on November 11. We squeezed in our very tight schedule and decided to go toy-hunting on October 28. If you check your calendar, the said date fell on a Saturday which also happens to be very close to the pay day and the All Saint’s Day holiday! In short, suicide mission ang pumunta sa Divisoria!

We were willing to brave the traffic, lack of parking space and high volume of Christmas shoppers. The night before our trip to Divisoria, I decided to go online to check for alternatives. That was when I found out about Edeng’s Toy Store!

The store is at the third level of Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City. (Pasok kayo dun sa mga tiangge, tapos nandun siya!) It has tons of different kinds of toys that are perfect for both party favors and as gifts to your inaanak this Christmas. Apart from toys, the store also offers other party needs and all sorts of costumes! I was in a hurry to snap a photo. So in case you want to see how big the store is, you may check out their Facebook page! Ang daming toys, sobra! Para siyang factory ni Santa Claus! HAHAHAHA!

These are the things we bought which cost us PHP3000! Our theme for Zayne’s party was Hello Kitty. We got 3 dozens of Hello Kitty blind bags, some Hello Kitty building blocks and a dozen of Hello Kitty water game. We were actually aiming for the kids to get acquainted with the toys we grew up with that’s why those were our choices as party favors. We also included some fishing kits (peyborit ko ‘to noong bata ako, hahaha), 3 dozens of snakes and ladders and some pingpong sets.

I know that I would have probably gotten a better deal at Divisoria, but going to Market! Market! instead was more convenient for us at that time. We were done shopping for toys in a couple of hours, and we even had some time to have lunch and squeeze in grocery shopping at SM Aura. We don’t have a stay-in house help so we could not afford to be out on a weekend with Zayne left at home. Bringing our baby with us was out of the equation because she’s currently at the height of her hyperactivity. Haha! So ayun. Nakauwi kami in 5 hours na minor lang ang tagaktak ng kili-kili ko. Pinawisan nga lang ako nung tumawid kami from Market! Market! to SM Aura. HAHAHAHAHA!

Again, I would have paid a little more for the toys. But I guess convenience has a price, huh?! =) Please take note that the store is strictly on a CASH ONLY basis. It helps that the store is just a cartwheel away from an ATM. :)
