Product Review: Herb Day Lip & Eye Make-up Remover from The Face Shop

I had ran out of my eye makeup remover, but I didn't have the time to go the mall and get the same brand. I happened to be in Bonifacio High Street (because it’s near my work) and decided to drop by The Face Shop. I have been an avid user of some of The Face Shop’s products. My BB cream, cushion blusher and lipstick are all from The Face Shop. I trust the brand and I also wanted to try other makeup remover brands so I decided to buy Herb Day Lip & Eye Make-up Remover.


Let’s first talk about the things that I love about this product. First, it smells soooooo good! As in super bango! Second, it’s very convenient to use. You just pull a sheet and you’re good to go. No need for an extra tissue paper. The sheets are also wet enough to cover what they are supposed to do, but not too wet to drip and make a bigger mess. Third, it’s very soothing! My face feels refreshed after using it. Hindi siya mabigat sa fez! I get oil residue with my old makeup remover even after washing my face. It’s not the case with this product.

Does it work for me? Yes. It removes makeup easily and doesn't cause breakouts. I don’t get to use this for my lips because I don’t use waterproof lipstick. I only apply it in the morning, and it has usually worn off in the afternoon. But it is definitely effective in removing my blush and BB cream. Unfortunately though, it’s not that “powerful” when it comes to my waterproof mascara. I need to wipe my eyes several times just to remove all traces of makeup. But other than that, it works fine. :)
