Je Tries to Cook: Chicken Pastel

On the same day I cooked a Big Breakfast meal for my husband, my mother asked me to cook something for lunch.

Mama: Je!!!
Me: Bakit, Ma?
Mama: Gusto mo bang magluto?
Me: Sure! Anong lulutuin?
Mama: Fried chicken.
Me: Fried chicken??? Iniinsulto mo naman ako e. Sayang naman ang cooking prowess ko kung prito ang iluluto ko!
Mama: O sige, chicken pastel na lang.
Me: Paano ‘yun?!
Mama: O ayan! Ang yabang mo kasi!
Me: Hehehe!

Mama gave me an overview of how it should be done. Tapos, nilayasan na niya ako at nanood ng TV! Donyang donya ang peg!

Additional Notes:

1. Mama specifically instructed me not to put too much sauce. She wants it on the dry side. But if you want to have more sauce, add more water or adjust the water-milk ratio.
2. You may opt to add pineapple chunks, hotdogs or sausage.
