Every time we go to Superbowl of China, the complimentary prawn crackers they serve to us are immediately wiped off. It’s just good as it is, but it also goes well with vinegar!
It was a rainy weekend so we decided to jumpstart our meal with a bowl of hot wanton soup. When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I usually get wanton soup. It’s dual purpose. I’ll have a soup to warm up my stomach, and I’ll have my favorite dumplings which go with it.
Our visit at Super Bowl would not be complete without the Yang Chow Fried Rice. My husband risked battling my moods and insisted on having lunch at a Chinese restaurant for this bright yellow fried rice. Served with different kinds of meat, seafood and vegetables, this alone is good enough on its own.
We got the regular serving of Lechon Macau. If I remember it correctly, the larger serving costs PHP290. I think Boyet made a good call because the Lechon Macau serving is a bit too small for our very big appetite. Hihi!
Boyet liked the Lechon Macau. It was actually good, but the dish didn’t blow me away. The sauce is also too strong for my taste.
Unfortunately, the chicken is a bit too oily for my liking. I am used to smaller chunks of chicken on my Lemon Chicken, but this one was served differently. They probably deep fried a large portion of the chicken breast then sliced it. The sauce didn’t stick to most parts of the chicken. Plus, the breading was just so thick I could taste the flour more than the lemon. :|
