Kolokoy Household: Episode 79

Hello, my ever-so-lovely-and-loyal readers! Thank you for choosing to stick around despite my very crazy blogging schedule! I really struggle juggling all these “adulting” thingies so it’s nice that I still get to squeeze in some time to “hang out” with all of you! Anyway, I think you have probably noticed by now that Zayne is already the biggest contributor in most of my recent Kolokoy Household episodes. We all love talking to Zayne! She’s the best stress reliever in the house! Haha.

SAGING

Zayne loves to eat fruits! Her meal is not complete if she doesn’t end it with fruits. One time, I asked her if she wanted a banana.

Me: Zayne, do you want a banana?
Zayne: Opo.
Me: Okay. Can you please get it from the counter?
Zayne: PSSSST! SAGING! LAPIT KA NGA KAY ZAYNE! SAGING! SAGINGGGGGGGGG!!! PSST!!! HALIKA NA, DALIIIIII!!! ANO BA YAN? AYAW NI SAGING! (sabay pout ng lips)

Grabe, mga beshies! Naawa ako sa saging na walang kalaban-laban! HAHAHAHA!

FRUITS

Because Zayne loves fruits, Mama showers her with different kinds! As in sagana sa prutas si Zayne.

AKALA MO MAY MEDIA NOCHE LAGI SA BAHAY!!! HAHAHA!!!

Ayan, ganyan ang nanay ko. One time, I asked Zayne what she wanted.

Me: What fruit do you want – pineapple, ponkan, banana or watermelon?
Zayne: FWOOOT LOOPS!!!

BALLET

Zayne eats all kinds of fruits and vegetables. When she was around 2 years and 3 months old, we started allowing her to eat either chips or chocolates on Saturdays. A few weeks ago, Zayne showed interest in ballet. She watched an episode of Hi-5 wherein her favorite, Dayen, was teaching ballet to the other members of the group. But because she’s still very young, Boyet and I wanted to know if she’s really into ballet. There are days when she wants to go swimming. She also showed interest in basketball! IKR? Hahaha! Anyway, just to make sure, we had Zayne undergo a “test”.

Tatay: Zayne, what do you want – ballet or swimming?
Zayne: Ballet!
Tatay: Ballet or basketball?
Zayne: Ballet!
Tatay: Swimming or basketball?
Zayne: Ballet!
Me: Hahaha! Wala na. Benta na ng kidneys. Ballet talaga!
Tatay: Ballet or chocolates?
Zayne: … … …
Tatay: Ballet or chocolates?
Zayne: Chocolates!
Tatay: Chips or ballet?
Zayne: Chocolates!!!

Ballet is life, but chocolate is lifer! Wahahahaha!!!

OA

One time while we were on our way home, Zayne cried and started scratching her eyes.

Zayne: NANAY! NANAY!
Me: Why? What happened?
Zayne: NANAY! NABULAG AKO!!!
Me: Anak, NAPUWING. Hindi NABULAG!

Best Actress dabah?!

MOMMY

Zayne sometimes calls me MOMMY. I think she heard it from one of her playmates. She does it in the most random occasions. Mommy, open the door! Mommy, I love you. Mommy, wiwi ako. Hahaha! One night, she asked water as we were about to go to sleep. Boyet stood up to get it for her.

Zayne: Thank you, Mommy! Thank you, Daddy!
Me: No! I’m your Nanay. I’m not your Mommy.
Zayne: But you’re my Mommy!
Tatay: Do you want to call Nanay your Mommy?
Zayne: Opo.
Tatay: But Nanay doesn’t like to be called Mommy.
Zayne: Mommy!
Tatay: Okay. If you want to call someone Mommy, you call Nanay Inday – Mommy Inday. (Nanay Inday is our stay-out househelp.)

The following day…

Zayne: HI, MOMMY NANAY INDAY!!!
