Hotel Review: The Bellevue Hotel

We were back in Alabang once again for another staycation, this time at The Bellevue Hotel. We scored a voucher through Deal Grocer late last year. We were supposed to go with Jeff and Joie, but we were unavailable when they decided to redeem their voucher. So last February, barely a week before the voucher expires, my husband and I drove to Alabang for a relaxing staycation.

While on our way, I realized that I forgot something at home! I forgot to bring my DSLR camera. So please forgive my not-so-clear photos. :p

Checking in was a breeze. But because we arrived before 12 PM, we were informed by the receptionist that our room wasn’t ready yet. The receptionist told me that she would just let me know via SMS once our room is ready. We then decided to avail the hotel’s shuttle service so we could go to ATC for lunch. We were informed that the shuttle leaves every 30 minutes. One receptionist told us that the next one would be leaving by 12:00. We were at the waiting area 15 minutes before 12:00. But the guard told us that the shuttle already left and we had to wait until 12:30 for the next one. I was supposed to tell the guard what the receptionist told us when an irate woman who also heard the guard started yelling at him. She said, “What?! I was here 11:30. You told me the shuttle just left so I waited. It’s not even 12:00 and you’re telling me to wait for another 30 minutes?!” Natulala si guard! Rumadyo sa kung sino. After 5 minutes, the shuttle arrived. Bongga si ate! =))

Unlike the shuttle service of Crimson Hotel which allowed us to enjoy our privacy, we had to share Bellevue’s shuttle with the other guests. My husband and I didn’t mind this, though. And oh, the driver is very nice! =) Anyway, while we were having lunch at Yabu, I got a text message that our room was ready.

The room we got is actually very nice and cozy. Though I’ve been to other hotel rooms that exude more elegance, this one is not bad at all. It may not be as grand as the other hotel rooms I had been to, but Bellevue gave us everything we needed for a relaxing staycation. =)

The bed is huge and comfy. The linens smell really fresh. The pillows gave me the I-feel-like-bouncing feeling. The cable TV has very good reception. And the bathroom is clean and spacious! What more can I ask for?!

The bathroom has a separate shower area with rain head shower installed. The hotel provided a complete set of toiletries. It’s always a plus points for me when a bathroom has a bath tub because uhmm… wala kasi kaming bath tub sa bahay! Wahahaha! And the most important of all – the bathroom has a bidet installed! Halleluiah! :p

Bath robes and slippers were also provided. One side of the huge closet houses the safety deposit box, hair dryer, laundry basket, flat iron and ironing board.

The hotel is also equipped with an electric kettle. My husband and I got to enjoy a cup of coffee that night. Nagpuyat kasi kami! Charot! :p

The room also has a full length mirror. I was desperately trying to do a selfie for my OOTD, but I was failing big time! I don’t know why, but I am not really good in taking selfies. :p Anyway, my husband VOLUNTEERED to take my OOTD shots! Bigyan ng jacket si Mr. Kolokoy! :p

Now, let’s go back to business! Hehe!

One of the things I always look forward to when having a staycation is the hotel’s swimming pool. I am not really a good swimmer, but swimming is the only sport that I don’t suck big time. And not to mention that it’s the only sport that does not involve a ball and does not make me faint. Hehe!

I love that Bellevue’s swimming pool is big, clean and pandak-friendly. Bwahaha! We didn’t swim right away because it was windy that day. Ginaw na ginaw kami! But as soon as we got in the water, we swam like there’s no tomorrow.

We were actually served complimentary drinks at the poolside bar. I got a glass of juice while hubby decided to have a bottle of beer. E di lalo kaming gininaw! :p Anyway, allow me to mention that the guy manning the bar, who was also in charge of handling the towels to guests, was very accommodating. Boyet talked to him while he was preparing our drinks. Apparently, he was just working there temporarily. Sana regular employee na siya this time! =)

Our accommodation includes breakfast for two. Bellevue’s breakfast buffet is quite extensive. I wasn’t able to take photos, though. We woke up late so the buffet area was already crowded when we arrived. Sabi ko sa inyo, nagpuyat kami e! :p

Everything we had was great. But if there’s one thing that really stood out among the buffet choices, it has to be the bread section! It’s so good that the breads decided to take a selfie! Nyahaha!

All in all, my husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Bellevue Hotel. It may have started with a hiccup because of the shuttle service, but it still ended well with both of us going home pampered and relaxed. ^_^
