My team mates slash girl friends started a habit of walking around BGC during lunch breaks. It was initially an attempt to jumpstart the infamous Balik Alindog Program, e kaso lang wala namang ibabalik na alindog! :p Anyway, having the kind of work that forces us to be seated for 8 hours straight, we needed to revamp a lot of things to stay healthier. Aside from walking at least 30 minutes a day, we also make sure to swap our usual junk food diet with healthier choices. We used to joke about our walking sessions. E kasi nga naman, maglalakad kami para bumili ng pagkain! We used to go to a milk tea shop almost every single day. But we have actually improved our choices. That’s where Red Mango enters the picture.
Yogurt is definitely a healthier alternative. Mr. Google will let you know all the benefits of yogurt. I hate drinking milk so having yogurt at least gives me calcium that my body needs.
When I first tried Red Mango, I opted to have my yogurt topped with blueberries and cheesecake. It was sooooooo good! On my next visit, I decided to stay away from the unnecessary sugar (although I was so tempted to have the blueberries-cheesecake combination) so I tried to have almonds and ripe mangoes.
It’s such a refreshing treat! And just a couple of weeks ago, we were supposed to have our usual yogurt when we saw the customers in front of us ordered something that was new to us. That’s when we got to try their awesome yogurt parfait!
We literally could not stop saying, “Ang sarap” while walking. I love yogurt and granola that’s why this yogurt parfait is perfect for me.
Aside from the health benefits that we’re getting from yogurt, Red Mango also enables us to turn this habit into a bonding activity for me and my girl friends. They used to have a Buy One Take One promo. And for the past couple of months, they are offering 50% off on your second item. We work in pairs and split the bill into two. Wais much! :p
