Restaurant Review: Pepper Lunch

All the slapping and hair-pulling from No Other Woman made me really hungry. So after watching the movie, we rushed out of the theater to grab a very late lunch.

Choosing where to eat is still as hard now that we’re already married. After enumerating all the possible choices, Boyet came up with the idea of checking out Pepper Lunch. I already tried their Greenbelt branch once. It opened its Robinson’s Manila branch a few months ago but the place is always cramped each time we try to pay it a visit. My eyes beamed when I saw some empty seats. It was no surprise since it was already 2 p.m.

Boyet got a little excited and ordered for Chicken and Angus Beef Meal. I honestly think that it’s quite expensive given that my (cheaper) choice is more delicious.

Upon looking at my plate, the serving looked quite small so I thought that it would not satisfy my big appetite. I don’t like eating raw meat so as soon as I took a few photos of my food, I immediately tossed everything while the plate was hot. I then started to devour everything on my plate.

The thinly sliced beef strips were a perfect match to the peppered rice. The sweetness of the corn balanced the strong flavors of the rice. I was definitely mistaken when I assumed that my food would not be enough. I started burping and was ready to raise the white flag as I was finishing my lunch.

I do find Pepper Lunch's food expensive, but I still haven't tasted it yet, so I will surely try it if I am given the chance.

    Hopping from Food Trip Friday.
