I have been to Pancake House a lot of times before. I have always patronized their pancakes but it was my first time today to try out their other offerings. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and were immediately offered a seat.
I was still full from a Jollibee breakfast so I opted to skip rice for lunch. Carbonara is my favorite pasta dish next to lasagna. I have a tendency to overly scrutinize it because I make it a point to try out almost every restaurant that offers carbonara. A three-year old child would probably be blissful to eat PH's carbonara because of its distinct sweetness. But I had a feeling that the chef must have mistakenly put sugar instead of salt in my carbonara. It was so sweet that I could hear the ants knocking from my lips trying to get through my tongue for refuge.
It was nice though that I chose to have an additional order of their Best Taco in Town. The combination of colors from the onion, tomato, lettuce, ground beef and cheese made my eyes crave for it more.
Boyet was going through the menu mumbling that he wanted to have “a little bit of everything” so he picked a set meal. The Hamburger Steak Special Set is a combination of hamburger steak, spaghetti and mixed vegetable. I was moaning at how sweet my carbonara is when he offered me a bite of the steak. I could see him grinning while cutting a piece of the steak. And then whoala! Sweet!
While eating, I was so tempted to sing SUGAR... OH HONEY HONEY! I think I should go back to eating their pancakes! :D
